Expedition River Sections
NEW MAP SECTION COMING SOON
Logistics:
The expedition launches on August 26th from Green River, Wyoming and
will paddle into South Cove, Lake Mead on Nov. 15. All sections of the trip will be
powered by gravity, muscle and/or wind (over two and a months we figure it has to blow downstream at some point).
All lottery permitted river sections have been attained as of April 16th 2007. The most
difficult obstacle to this trip was checked off the list this past fall when Bob Scholl
obtained an October 19th, 2007 launch date for the Colorado River through
Grand Canyon National Park. The group has also has permits to float through
Gates of Lodore in Dinosaur National Monument beginning September 7 and
Desolation Canyon on September 15th.
One other permit is in the final works of completion:
Labyrinth/Stillwater/Cataract Canyon this is a non-lottery and is issued when requested.
Requests are currently being submitted.
We are looking forward to meeting new friends as we journey down the river and
if you would like to help with a re-ration or meet us along the way please email us
your information and locale to us here.
