Mike Roselle

Mike Roselle has been running rivers from Alaska to Borneo since 1979. In 1999, Roselle was on an expedition in Central Africa to survey the affects of poaching on wildlife. That Jackson, Wyoming based party was the first to float the entire 280-mile length of the Chinko River from Darfur, in Sudan, to its confluence with the Congo River, which was featured in National Geographic and Reader’s Digest.

Mike worked in Washington D.C. for a decade on environmental issues for Greenpeace and Ralph Nader. Before that he cut his teeth on roadless-area conservation campaigns in Wyoming, Oregon, and California.

Roselle pens a regular environmental column for Lowbagger.org, an online environmental journal he publishes. He’s also one of the founders of Earth First!, the Rainforest Action Network, and the Ruckus Society.
