Bob Scholl

Born in Fairfield, Connecticut, Bob first discovered the lure of the Rocky Mountain West in 1983 when he enrolled at the University of Montana to pursue a degree in fisheries biology. Though the biology career crashed in a calculus haze, the love of the outdoors gained wings and took off through rivers of Western Montana and Wyoming's Wind River Mountains.

His river rowing experience was gained in the early 1990's through river trips lead by his friend Wayne Fairchild, now owner of Lewis and Clark Trail Adventures in Missoula, Montana. The highlight of his river career was when he quit a lucrative job as a sales rep for the Missoulian Newspaper so he could join a private trip on the Grand Canyon in August and September of 1993.

An avid fly fisherman, from 1993 through 1995 Bob guided fly fishermen on Montana's Rock Creek and the Clark Fork and Blackfoot Rivers. Since 1997 Bob has spent a part of his summers as a wilderness and fishing guide for the Lander Llama Company in Lander Wyoming. He has lead 30 trips and been part of over 50 llama treks into the Popo Agie Wilderness in the Wind River Mountains. In 1999 he was the llama guide on a Wind River Mountain trip for ESPN's the Sporting Life. A clip from that show can be seen here

Bob has been a professional graphic artist since 1997. He has served numerous clients in the states of Wyoming and Montana designing thousands of advertisements and other printed material. He's been responsible for the design and publication of over one dozen, 100 plus page magazines where he also was solely in charge of all four color photography prepress work.

He is also a professional photographer with an extensive knowledge of Adobe Photoshop. In 2002 he entered the website design field and went on to create the most successful and most viewed tourism website for Wyoming's Wind River Country. In 2006 he sold this 350 plus page website to The Edwards Group.

Bob's website knowledge focusses on taking Photoshop designs and turning them into website templates for use in the web authoring program Dreamweaver. From there proven search engine optimization techniques are used to create web pages friendly to both humans and spiders.
